Opening Convocation is a beloved Newberry tradition that marks the beginning of each new academic year, complete with inspiration, invitation, and academic pomp. President Maurice W. Scherrens will deliver this year's Opening Convocation address, joined by representatives of the Board of Trustees, the Newberry community, and beyond. Class schedules for the day will be adjusted accordingly. Professional attire is required.
